Student Success - Registration and Advising
Are you prepared for registration?
The Student Success Center can assist you with preparing you to meet with your academic advisor and plan your educational career. The Center is located on the 2nd floor of Stone Hall in the Division of Student Services.
Upcoming Registration Dates
Spring 2017 Registration
November 1 – Priority Registration for current students begins. Current students must make an appointment with their assigned advisor, or register through WebAdvisor.
November 7 – New students may begin registering. New students must have attended New Student Orientation and either taken or exempted themselves from the Accuplacer exam before registration.
Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm – Special/Non-Degree Students can register with the Student Success Center.
November 18th– Hoke Campus orientation, testing, and registration. Arrive by 9am.

New Student Registration
Prior to registration, new students should apply, attend an assigned orientation day, take the placement test, or exempt themselves from the placement test (see www.sandhills.edu/testing for more information on testing and exemptions. Once students have attended a new student orientation, they can take advantage of our “one-stop-shop” services. Our one-stop-shop allows students to:
- Take the Accuplacer Placement test
- Meet with an advisor to discuss your career and course path
- Register for your first semester of classes
- Get assigned to a faculty advisor
- Discuss campus resources
Current Student Registration
Current students can register by:
- Making an appointment with their assigned advisor during registration periods.
- Registering through WebAdvisor. (Please see below dates for priority registration and WebAdvisor registration dates.)
You can locate your assigned advisor by accessing your WebAdvisor account, or through the campus Directory.
Non-Degree/Visiting Student Registration
The Student Success Center staff is happy to assist non-degree students with registration. Non-degree students are not required to take a placement test or send official transcripts, however we do require students to verify that they have completed prerequisites through:
- Official or unofficial transcripts
- Electronic grade reports
- Official high school transcripts.

MiniMester courses can be registered during normal registration times, or through the Student Success Center after normal registration ends and before MiniMester courses begin. Please visit our MiniMester website for current course offerings and registration dates. Email email@example.com for questions or registration.
Hoke Center Testing and Registration
Testing and Registration for Hoke Center (Raeford, NC) students is available on a regular basis. Please see below dates for upcoming events at Hoke:

If you wish to change your program of study, you have two options: 1) You can come in person to complete the Change of Major form and get your new advisor information immediately, or 2) You can email one of our staff and we can send you an electronic copy of the Change of Major form. Using option 2 will allow you to view your new advisor in WebAdvisor within 3 business days.
